Welcome

JeffKoenig.com is transforming again.

JeffKoenig.com began as an dynamic online version of "the Writing on the Wall". "The Writing on the Wall" was a commodity futures forecasting newsletter. This forecast and strategy work was a key service available to Commodity Management Group clients.

After the birth of our second daughter we decided to seek corporate employment again until we understood our family circumstances better. As a result Commodity Management Group clientele were divided up among several commodity firms and the corporation dissolved in 2001.

Shopping for interest rate opportunity just became easier

I happened to locate a blog that appears to be a substantial repository of the best bank interest rates, CD rates and bank health. To date I would frequent BankRate.com with some satifaction because obviously it was an advertising source for banks to attract money however at first glance this appears to be an extensive resource of relatively unbias information that exceeds Bankrate.com for the rate stuff you seek.

I'm "up" for a challenge

Recently I read about hundredpushups.com from one of my favorite blog sites Lifehacker.com. This was an appealing challenge for me.

My initial pushup test resulted in 35 pushups. I thought that I might be able to get to the next level but at 35 I was feeling like I might hurt myself trying. So 35 pushups and my age group placed me in a Rank 4 which then defines the training path you follow to reach the 100 pushup goal.

Finding a purpose for JeffKoenig.com

I've been struggling to determine a direction for JeffKoenig.com however yesterday I was inspired by Celine Roque's piece that landed in the WebworkerDaily.com. I've been reading a lot about managing your personal online brand. Previously I though that posting your resume on the website was a dead end. I also need to be cautious about blogging because of potential conflicts of interest with my current employer.
